Zermatt Summer Guide

High up on the Klein Matterhorn, Zermatt has the largest summer boarding area in Switzerland. The glacier opens in June until September and there are a number of easy/intermediate runs and a terrain park all serviced by T-bars.

The Gravity Park has a series of kickers and rails and a super-pipe alongside the lift. A lift pass will cost you 60CHF, but the area is only open from 7:30 to 1:30pm so you need to get up early before it starts getting slushy. In the afternoon you can take a look at the World’s highest ice pavilion at 3810m, if you’re that way inclined.

Zermatt Summer Park

Zermatt Summer ParkStoked runs for 2 weeks every summer, week one is from 15th-21st July, and the second 22nd-28th July. A 6 night package including tuition, video analysis, accommodation and lift pass will set you back 620 euros, however there is a cheaper option for 370 euros but you’ll need to sort your own accommodation out. You’ll be taught by a number of pro’s, this year including Gian Simmen. For more info take a look at www.stoked.ch
