Austria Summer Guide

Austria has one of the largest options for summer snowboarding as well as some of the best glaciers. Burton Snowboards holds most of its training camps on Austria’s glaciers and many national teams train here during summer. Resorts offer good local services and slopes are crowd free, although glaciers like Stubai and others within easy reach of Innsbruck do tend to get a lot of one day two-plankers on special tourist trips. Summer riding in Austria is cheaper than in winter but note some village services close during parts of May and June.

Many Austrian resorts have extended winter seasons that run into May, take a look at the likes of Obergurgl , Pitztal, Ischgl and the Moelltaler Gletscher
