Canada Summer Guide
The Blackcomb Mountain and glacier are the only areas which offer all year round snowboarding in the country. Nearly all of Canada’s other resorts close at the end of April with a few closing in mid-May if the snow is still good. In 2008, Whistler is open from 12-3pm, June 9 to July 27. Day passes will set you back CA$52. For more info, check: www.whistlerblackcomb.com/todo/summer/glacier/index.htm
With the glacier at 2,284 metres and an average depth of 60 metres, there's plenty of snow up top for the camps. There's an emphasis on camps for the young 'uns, although they may cater for the old folk too. Take a look at Camp of Champions, WSSC and Glacier Snowboard Camp. at www.whistlerblackcomb.com/groups/youth/glacier/index.htm
