This season we've put a team together for the Snow-camp Everest Challenge which is being held in Morzine, France from 26th-29th January. The 3 day charity snowsports event raised over £30,000 last year and this season we want to help them raise even more.

It's showtime on the Everest Challenge. Thursday night saw the 52 participants in this years Everest Challenge get split into the 5 groups, who will then be guided around the course over the next 48hrs. The slope on the Pleney in Morzine was nicely groomed for this evenings floodlit 2hr session.

Team WSG rider showed how tackling the icy red run should be done. With the groups decided, its an early start in the morning to get at least 75km of pistes nailed, before a grueling 8km night hike way above Morzine.

It just can't stop snowing!

I've been doing a bit of a tour around the Portes du Soleil for the last 5 days, but now settled in Morzine trying to get rid of this darn flu before the rest of the team arrive. There has been plenty of snow in the last 5 days, just a shame the temperature has been too high, leading to some very heavy off-piste. I'm not complaining though, rather some heavy pow, than none at all.

A few more inches fell today, but the light was a bit flat, and the off-piste baked from yesterdays brief sunshine. It has to be said though, the pistes are in an incredible condition, and with sunshine forecasted for most of the week, the Everest Challenge should be a cracker.
