This event will be held at Alts Bandai in Fukushima from 20th~25th February 2007 supported by NISSAN X-TRAIL and the event will be named "NISSAN X-TRAIL NIPPON OPEN 2007 SNOWBOARDING CHAMPIONSHIPS" (hereinafter called NIPPON OPEN).
NISSAN X-TRAIL has been special sponsor since 8th annual event for 7 consecutive years. With the support from NISSAN X-TRAIL which has great support from many athletes, action sports fans as well as snowboarders; this event will evolve even more with snowboarders.
NIPPON OPEN has 13 years of history and is one of world's largest snowboarding event "Open Snowboarding Championships" along with New Zealand, Australia, Europe and USA. This event has been influencing snowboarding scene with high level of performance from amateur to professional riders. The number of spectators has been increasing each year and expanding event's dimension as Japan's representing outdoor event.
