The Quarterpipe contest has also provided a whole host of pro riders with all the motivation they could wish for to come to Avoriaz and compete against one another. A total of 16 seeded men and 6 seeded women will lead the Quarterpipe onslaught and hope to keep the up-and-coming rippers at bay.

On top of all that, riders like Canadian Marc-Andre Tart, JJ Roux, Arthur Longo, Darius Heristchian and Germanys Alex Schmaltz will also be rolling into town to fight it out.

The womens Quarterpipe contest, meanwhile, promises to go off with a bang, with the likes of Womens TTR World Snowboard Champion 05/06 Cheryl Maas, ONeill rider Caroline Beliard and Austrias amplitude queen Lisa Filzmoser all clocking in for the show.
