2006 Orange AIM Series National Slopestyle Championships Return to Bracknell

Britain’s top snowboarders and freeskiers will descend upon Bracknell Ski Centre on Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd September, for the highly anticipated British Artificial Slopestyle Championships. Local riders currently on top form and tipped as the UK’s future stars, include snowboarders Sam Cullum, the Knox brothers and freeskier James Webb, who will be looking to impress judges in pursuit of a National title on home turf. The Slopestyle Championships will see Britain’s best freestylers showcase their technical ability on Bracknell’s selection of freestyle toys, including, rails, boxes, jumps and their 10 foot high quarterpipe. A relaxed Big Air competition kick starts each day’s competition, serving as a great warm up for riders and spectators alike. Home-grown Bracknell talent will be out in force over the weekend along with regular contenders Laura Berry, Jamie Nicholls and freeskiers Charlie Smith and Shelly Jones. They will all be looking to add the artificial title to their already impressive medal collection after throwing down some top performances at this year’s Orange AIM Series so far.

Spectators keen to take part are offered a free taster lesson during the event courtesy of the Animal and Trespass Ski and Snowboard academies, in conjunction with Snowlife. The FREE beginner lessons will take place between 12pm – 4pm on both days. Equipment is supplied by Bracknell Ski Slope and all participants will receive a free goodie bag including, T-shirt, DVD, wallet and stickers.
