Held on the outskirts of Zurich on the edge of the lake, this should be another cracker this year. The big-air ramp for the snowboarding & skiing will have a whopping 36m kicker this year.

The 15th annual freestyle.ch event is going to take place from September 25 – 27, 2009 in Zurich. Advance tickets to Europe’s largest freestyle sports event are now on sale. Visitors to freestyle.ch are in for first-rate sports, electrifying contests in a spectacular setting as well as a rip-roaring entertainment program.

Daring jumps! Wicked moves! Unbelievable tricks! Since 1995, freestyle.ch has been climbing the charts to become the largest freestyle event in Europe. Major league snowboarding, freeskiing,
FMXing and skateboarding freestylers will gather at Zurich’s Landiwiese from September 25 – 27 for 2009’s showdown along the banks of Lake Zurich for the hotly contested freestyle.champ titles.

A pageant of talent in the freestyle arena 20 snowboarders and freeskiers, 8 FMXers and 12 skateboarders will go head-to-head in two equally rated qualifications on Friday and Saturday, followed by Sunday’s full program of finals. Let’s see whether snowboarder Stefan Gimpl (AUT), freeskier Jacob Wester (SWE), FMX pilot Thomas Pagès (FRA) and skateboarder Sandro Diaz (BRA) manage to hang on to their 2008 freestyle.champ titles.

The Landiwiese is sure to be cooking Saturday evening as the best in the four freestyle sports disciplines flaunt their tricks in the «Ultimate Crossover Session», ensuring a bombastic display of daredevil feats in a tantalizing fight for the crossover.champ title. freestyle.ch can also be caught livestream via the internet and on TV in over 180 countries.
