For the first time ever, the Montafon region is hosting a FIS Snowboard World Cup. After Lech am Arlberg organised a perfect double snowboard cross event two years ago, Schruns will now take over the show.

For the first time ever, a Snowboard World Cup will be held in Belgium. On November 10th, the season's second big air contest is scheduled in Antwerp.

Top international riders will arrive in Cardrona for the FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup from 25-26 August 2012. This mark the opening qualifying event for Sochi 2014.
