Dom Harington
Hi my name is Dom Harington and I’m 22 and come from Leeds. I've been snowboarding since I was about 12 years old and it was in Avimore that I had my first lesson. I'd say it was the dry slope that really got me into snowboarding as I used to ride at Sheffield ski village and used to love sessioning the kicker and pipe there. I’d go at least a few times a week, I’d just try to learn new tricks all the time.I’ve been lucky enough to spend the last six winters in the mountains by just pick up temporary jobs through the summer. I also have been fortunate to pick up some cool sponsors that have helped me out loads and enabled me to get to some competitions. For the last three years I have been riding with the British team which has been wicked because I’ve got to ride loads of amazing places and learn a lot from some really good snowboarders. This year, 06, I have decided to step away from the British team so I can live in Morzine, ride lots of powder and hopefully film a video part.

I like all different kinds of snowboarding but my favorite would either be riding pipe or hitting jumps. The best thing is when you can have a laugh with some friends and dare each other to go higher or try new tricks. The worst thing about snowboarding is injury. I knackered up both my ankles last season and have taken a few months off to get them better for this coming season. Its really annoying having to take it easy all the time or not do jumps because you’re hurt! But, fingers crossed Ill be alright soon so I can get back to doing what I love best, boarding.
Hope you have a good season and keep safe. Dom
