Castle Just Got Bigger

New Back Country Terrain in Castle
One of WSG favourite little gems just got bigger. It’s all change at Castle with two new lifts accessing new beginner terrain and a Terrain Park being developed on the new Sidewinder piste. But best of all is the new Huckleberry chair will allow easy access to approximately 500 hectares of new backcountry touring and extreme snowboarding terrain. But take care as this terrain is outside the area boundary, so anyone venturing into this zone must have very strong knowledge of backcountry hazards, or seek out a local guide. While it’s great to see Castle open up and try to compete with its better known neighbours, I hope it stays true to its community roots, which is what make Castle a great place to ride.
