Copper Mountain is pleased to open the first Superpipe in North American today, hosting a number of world-class skiers and riders who have been ready to drop in since the first snowflakes fell this fall. Just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, guests can enjoy the 450 ft Main Vein Superpipe, situated just above Burning Stones Plaza.
The Main Vein Superpipe will be home to the Jeep US Freeskiing Open Superpipe competition this January featuring Freeskiing’s biggest athletes and up-and-comers. Throughout the season, guests will be able to view the action from a number of locations in the Village at Copper and are invited to enjoy the sights and sounds from the Superpipe as they take a break for lunch, enjoy après ski and make themselves at home at Copper.
The Main Vein Superpipe is an integral part of Copper’s landscape which also includes Catalyst Superpipe, Catalyst Terrain Park, Eagle Jib Park and Playground Terrain Park. Beginning in mid-December, keep an eye out for the Saturday afternoon Superpipe demos featuring members of Copper’s Freeride Team.
