In Swedens one-and-only 3*TTR event
Innsbruck, Austria. Swedens one-and-only TTR THREE(3)STAR event, the 7th edition of the Rip Curl Seafun Invitational presented by DVS & Matix, was won last weekend by Norwegian all-rounder Per Iver Grimsrud (NOR).
Hosted by top Swedish resort, Kungsberget, between16th-18th February 2007, the Rip Curl Seafun Invitational presented by DVS & Matix created the perfect slopestyle park for the 30 invited and 10 qualified snowboarders. With a super-high level of riding, the judges had a hard time to decide between each rider in the 8-man, head-to-head quarterfinals. It was Per Iver Grimsrud (NOR) who shone on the day, delivering a huge line, including a 50/50 front-flip on the first rail, a Cab 1080 shifty-shifty on the big kicker and a smooth Michaelchuck in the quarterpipe. His first TTR win and 4th TTR result of the season, Grimsrud (NOR) adds an all-important 550 TTR Ranking Points to his ranking score and 4000 euros to his bank account.
It was a really good contest. I liked the format and the organization was so good, so overall it was a great event! Kungsberget resort has a sick setup with the snowpark and are way better than the parks back in Norway. I will definitely come back here! stated a jubilant Grimsrud (NOR).
Second and third placings went to Swedish local talents Tobias Karlsson (SWE) and Andreas Jakobsson (SWE), respectively. For both riders, their first TTR result of 06/07 means they finally enter the Mens TTR Ranking List presented by Swatch.
