Photos of Ruapehu

Fri 28 September 07

On the 26th September, Ruapehu the mountain for the resorts of Whakapapa and Turoa, reminded everyone that its still an active volcanoe.

You can clearly see the mud flow that resulted from the activity, and currently the top part of the mountain served by the Far West T-Bar is closed, and staff are waiting on tender hooks for the next few days for possible further activity.

Its business as usual for the rest of the mountain and they've still got a huge snow base and spring conditions.
