Bigger than ever and with outstanding prizes the Burton AM Tour launches into its third season. Europe’s largest amateur freestyle snowboarding contest series will stop in 19 resorts in 15 countries. From Andorra to Russia young snowboarders born 1988 or later will have the chance to push their snowboarding while experiencing some real contest atmosphere.
The Burton AM Tour kicks of on 20 October 2007 in the Snowworld Landgraaf (NED). Even more stops have been added compared to last year. The tour will rock Europe all winter and have its last stop in Val Senales (ITA) on 26 April 2008. All riders compete for the overall Burton AM Tour Champion title, and all tour stops will be 2-star Swatch TTR World Snowboard Tour events.

For the first time, all tour stop winners will receive a guaranteed starting slot for the slopestyle competition at the Burton European Open. The overall tour winners will receive a whole Burton European Open package, consisting of a reserved starting slot and ‘board and lodging’ for Europe’s biggest snowboard competition held each year in Laax, Switzerland. All riders also compete for a brand new Z250 quad from main sponsor Suzuki and prizes from tour sponsors Burton, RED, and Anon.
Ivar Fougstedt, Burton Europe’s Marketing Director, comments the new tour schedule this way: “With its third season, the Burton AM Tour has been established as the most advanced snowboarding grass-roots event series in Europe. It makes us proud at Burton to see so many talented young riders push their limits and gain experience by doing what they love most: Shred their favourite resorts.”
