Elton John and Stereophonics at Ischgl
Tue 19 February 08
Its end of season celebrity fest once more as Sir Elton and Welsh rockers Stereophonics are set to perform at Ischgl in Austria
Sir Elton John will perform the season closing Top Of The Mountain concert in Ischgl on Saturday 3 May.

It will be Sir Elton's second appearance at Ischgl – he was the first star to feature in the Tirolean resort's now famous season closing concerts, back in 1995.
The lunchtime concert, as with his first, will be at Idalp, at the top station of the main gondola from the village. Concert-goers just need a liftpass to get up to the venue at 2320m.
The concert is on the last weekend of the ski season at Ischgl, with the slopes open for the last day on Sunday 4 May.
Ischgl Tourist Director Andreas Steibl said: "We are very excited to have signed Sir Elton to perform his second concert at Ischgl – he is one of the world's biggest stars and Ischgl has once again shown that our resort is a world stage featuring the biggest names. It will be a fabulous concert and a great way to round off what is proving to be a fantastic season with wonderful snow for our skiers and boarders."
The Easter Top Of The Mountain concert will star top British band Stereophonics, whose last five albums have all reached No 1 in the charts. They will perform at Idalp on Easter Sunday, 23 March.

Sandwiched in between on Sunday 20 April is the Alp Trida concert, just over the border into Switzerland, with reggae star Jimmy Cliff.
Ischgl's ski season got under way with a sensational concert by US singer Rihanna in December. Last season saw top acts Melanie C, Scissor Sisters and The Pussycat Dolls and previous stars include Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Pink, Tina Turner, The Sugababes and Bob Dylan.
