British Snowboard Team results from Korea

Sam Cullum, Zoe Gillings, Lesley McKenna, Kate Foster, Dom Harrington and Ben Kilner were all in action in Gangwon, Korea at the FIS World Snowboard Cross Championships

The British Snowboard Team recorded a raft of satisfactory performances in the FIS World Snowboard Cross Championships in Gangwon, Korea, which finished in the early hours of this morning (Saturday).

Sam Cullum (from Bracknell) took part in the closing event of the championships, the Big Air, in which he finished 26th, up 11 places from his 37 th place finish two years ago.

Earlier in the week, Zoe Gillings (Isle of Man), Britain’s top rated athlete on snow, finished 11th in the Snowboard Cross discipline, up from 20th two years ago.

Friday’s Half-pipe event discipline closed with Lesley McKenna (Aviemore) in 22nd and Kate Foster (Painswick) in 25th places in the women’s event. Sam Cullum finished 38th, Ben Kilner (Banchory) 42nd and Dom Harrington (Leeds) 58th in the men’s Half-pipe.
