UK to France Snow Train not running in 2010

Fri 03 July 09

RailEurope are citing the current economic climate and unfavourable exchange rates for the cancellation of the service for the new season

RailEurope have announced that the Snow train will not be running for the 2009/10 season

"Despite its popularity with keen skiers and snowboarders over the years, the current economic climate and unfavourable exchange rates means the service is not financially viable for the coming season"

There will however be 2 weekly Eurostar services from London St Pancras or Ashford to Aime La Plagne and Bourg-St-Maurice. One will leave on Friday nights and arrive ready for the first lift on Saturday and the other 7hr express service leaves Saturday mornings, and return prices will start from £149
