Colorado gets in the mood

With temperatures dropping the first snowfalls have occured and the snow-guns fired up

The cold weather and clear skies last night made temperatures ideal for Arapahoe Basin to have a successful night of snow making. Sixteen guns were fired up around 7:00 p.m. and are still running from mid-way to the base area at this time. Crews will continue to monitor temperatures and will be making snow as conditions warrant. Opening day has not been set as of this date and will depend upon weather and snowmaking efforts

SNOWMASS SET FOR EARLY OPENING SAT 19/11/2011
Snowmass to Open with 160 Acres of Terrain Including the Big Burn. The lifts will fire up at 9 a.m. this Saturday, November 19 as Snowmass opens for the season five days earlier than scheduled. -20Nov11
