The British Snow Tour heads to Castleford SNO!zone next weekend, Saturday 9th October for the final indoor event of the series – The Protest Slopestyle Championships and Slopestyle Jam
The British Snow Tour heads to Castleford SNO!zone next weekend, Saturday 9th October for the final indoor event of the series – The Protest Slopestyle Championships and Slopestyle Jam. The Inspirational Schools Tour team will also continue their quest to get kids stoked on snowsports, when they drop in on two local secondary schools and welcome new recruits, snowboarder and MC - Sean Miller and freeskier - Charlie Richards to the team.
The Slopestyle discipline, which showcases a rider’s all-round riding ability, has gained huge popularity recently with the discipline earmarked for inclusion in the 2014 Winter Olympics. Previous British Indoor Slopestyle Champions include snowboarder - Jamie Nicholls and freeskier - James Woods, who have both climbed up through the British Snow Tour ranks and exploded onto the European and Worldwide competition scene.

The Protest Slopestyle Championships is looking forward to discovering fresh talent and crowning new British Champions, welcoming all ages and abilities to compete. Riders will have a variety of freestyle obstacles to choose from including, an assortment or rails, boxes and kickers.

· 09:00 – 09:45 – Protest Slopestyle Jam Session (All Women plus KM, YM (unless seeded)
· 09:45 – 11:45 – Protest Slopestyle Championships (All Women plus KM, YM (unless seeded)
· 12:00 – 12:45 – Protest Slopestyle Jam Session (JM, OM, MM plus all seeded men)
· 12:45 – 14:45 – Protest Slopestyle Championships (JM, OM, MM plus all seeded men)
· 16:00 – Prize Giving
Freeski Championship Schedule:
· 15:00 – 15:30 – Protest Slopestyle Jam Session (All Women plus KM, YM (unless seeded)
· 15:30 – 17:00 – Protest Slopestyle Championships (All Women plus KM, YM (unless seeded)
· 17.15 – 17: 45 – Protest Slopestyle Jam Session (JM, OM, MM plus all seeded men)
· 17:45 – 19:15 – Protest Slopestyle Championships (JM, OM, MM plus all seeded men)
· 20:00 – Prize Giving
