Serre Chevalier invests EUR10m for 2010/11

The French resort Serre Chevalier is spending 10million euros for the 2010/11 season on a new 6-person high-speed chair and improvements to its snowmaking and avalanche control system

A new 6-person high-speed chair is being built for 2010/11 which will link the small village of Fréjus which sits above Villeneuve to the top of La Cucumelle as part of a 10million euro investment.

The resort is also improving its snow-making facilities and a range of work is being carried out to improve the safety of riders with the installation of two Gazex systems, which allow avalanches to be remotely set off under controlled conditions.
