The 5Star Burton Canadian Open wrapped up yesterday at the Winsport Canada Olympic Park in Calgary, Alberta with men's and women's slopestyle finals. American riders, Sam Hulbert and Jamie Anderson walked away victorious in the slopestyle format and at Friday’s halfpipe competition it was Kohei Kudo (JAP) and Kelly Clark (USA) who finished in first.

The winners all took home a sizable portion of the $50,000 USD prize purse and 850 Swatch TTR World Ranking points. With her success in the slopestyle competition, Jamie reclaims the TTR tour lead for the women and if she attends the remaining 6Star events, she has an excellent chance to take the 2010/11 TTR World Tour Champion title.

Slopestyle results

It was an overcast day with some light snow in the afternoon at the Canada Olympic Park and the uphill wind was a bit of a challenge, but the riders were undeterred and had a great competition. The slopestyle course was made up of five rails at the top and three jumps at the bottom. Jamie Anderson dominated in the women's field and took back her World No. 1 position from Cilka Sadar (SLO), who had the lead after finishing second in Friday’s halfpipe competition.

Jamie was untouchable in the slopestyle finals and won with a run made up of a boardslide, a boardslide 270 out, 50-50 tail press and a 50-50 to frontside boardslide in the rail section. She then put down a frontside 360, a stylish backside 180 and a switch backside 540 on the jump line. German rider, Silvia Mittermueller, took second place and moved into World No. 4 and young American, Ty Walker, took third place and is now sitting in World No. 9 at only 13-years old. Jamie was pumped on her win today and is looking forward to going after the Swatch TTR Tour Champion title saying, "I'm extremely stoked to take another win here at the Canadian Open. And, I'm definitely heading to the Arctic Challenge and then the US Open. I would love to grab the title and do as good as I can for the rest of the winter."
