Kicking Horse Canada Set To Open Dec 9th 2011

Kicking Horse is set to open on December 9th for the 2011-12 season. New features include new Learning Centre Facility and Redemption Ridge Traverse.

Kicking Horse has a NEW Learning Centre Facility located in the heart of the resort and accessible for all! This area will be dedicated for beginner and novice skiers and will provide a world class experience for first timers. So say 'no more' to never-ever and Discover the Horse!

Whether you’re a never ever skier or rider visiting for your first time, or you’re looking to improve your skills and experience more challenging terrain, our programs provide steps to advance everyone. There’s so much terrain and just as many ways to master it. The Learning Centre provides the instruction and guidance you need to tame the horse and be happy in the saddle.

Also new is a new groomed entrance to Feuz Bowl has been constructed on Redemption Ridge.

This 500m traverse trail allows easier and smoother access to classic Kicking Horse terrain, along with opening the spectacular scenery of Feuz Bowl to skiers who prefer to explore the mountain on groomed trails. From the same traverse trail, the grooming team will be exploring additional grooming options on the south facing Crystal Bowl side of Redemption Ridge. This new project will help provide fresh grooming options from the top of the Stairway to Heaven Chair into two alpine bowls.
