Red Bull 50/50 biathlon challenge at Caingorm
Mon 13 February 12
On Saturday 10th March 2012, the inaugural Red Bull 50/50 will be taking place at CairnGorm Mountain in Scotland, challenging skiers, snowboarders and mountain bikers in the ultimate biathlon.
The unique concept will see competitors race in groups of ten from the top of the mountain on skis or snowboard, down to the snowline, where a quick transition onto mountain bikes will be required to make the rest of the journey to the finish line.
Ian Whitaker CEO of CairnGorm Mountain said, “We are extremely excited to be hosting this groundbreaking event during our fiftieth anniversary year of mechanised uplift here at CairnGorm Mountain. Competitors will be challenged to get down the mountain in a completely unique way.”
