20th edition of NZ Snowboarder Banked Slalom!

Treble Cone is celebrating twenty years of the NZ Snowboarder Banked Slalom on Friday (27 July) with fast paced action and fun guaranteed.

This long running popular event makes use of Treble Cone’s exciting natural terrain and is always a favourite for spectators. This year’s competition will take place on Shooter in the Shadow Basin, a long natural winding halfpipe offering the perfect location for steeped banked turns and gaining speed.
Competitors will have two runs each with the fastest counting. Competition is set to be strong with over 80 competitors expected for the open and masters (+35) divisions.
“We are thrilled to be hosting the twentieth edition of the NZ Snowboarder Banked Slalom. It is a fantastic event for all riders to test their skills and endurance. There is a lot of camaraderie amongst the competitors and entertaining for the spectators,” said Julia Atkinson, Treble Cone sales and marketing assistant.
Entries are open online until 3pm Thursday 26 July and on-the-day registration 8.30am-9.45am in the cafe. The event starts at 11am.
There’s cash up for grabs and product prize pool of over $2,000, including a Capita Stairmaster 156 board and a days heli boarding as major spot prizes, to be distributed at the off-mountain prize giving in the Mint Bar. The after party will follow with DH's Ill-Figz and Niels C. The NZ Snowboarder Banked Slalom is sponsored by Nixon, Harris Mountains Heliski, Von Zipper, Union, Huffer, Capita, Powerade, Mint Bar.
