SkiWelt Invests 9.3 Million Euros for 201213!
No less than 9.3 million Euros are being invested for the coming winter season!
This includes modernised facilities, expansion and improvement of the snow equipment, and brand new attractions
A completely new Funslope Area for all freestyle riders has been been built. No fewer than three new parks hae been added with a combined surface area of over five hectares. These will offer over 40 Kickers and Rails of all degrees of difficulty, from beginners right up to pro level. Beginners will have their own Funslope at the Salvenmoospiste, and there will be a beginners and medium level run at the Rinnerabfahrt.
The Stöckl chairlift in Söll is also to be modernized. The lift is to be completely renovated and it will have new child safety features. This will ensure that the Hochsöll ski paradise, which is the particular favourite of families and ski schools, will be even more family-friendly.
Also added are four ultra-modern and very powerful Pistenbully ski slope-maintenance vehicles that will be driving their tracks through the snow to create even better slopes: two have been added in Scheffau, one in Brixen and one in Hopfgarten. There are now no fewer than 69 Pistenbullys in total in SkiWelt area maintaining perfect pistes.
There is also of course more investment this winter to give even greater guaranteed snow: with the building of the new Hohe Salve reservoir and the expansion of the snow-making equipment at all SkiWelt locations, the ski slopes will have even more guaranteed snow and be more convenient, even on the sunny side of the slopes.
The ongoing improvements are paying dividends: in 2012 SkiWelt was chosen for the second year running by ADAC Ski Guide as the Austrian Winner of the Ski Pass Index: the award for the best price-to-performance ratio in the heart of the Alpine winter sport world.
