Due to the bad weather forecast for Saturday, it was feared that it was going to be one run competition. Each rider turned up early received their bib and starting number and began to climb the peak. It took them less than one hour walking to reach the peak and the starting post. Upon arrival at the top riders were greeted with a nice and sunny day, the views up there where incredible.
At 8:30 the competition started. It was clear from the start the level of competition was very high despite this only been an FWQ 3* event it seemed a 4* competition in all but name.
From the face of the mountain, permitted riders choose many different and interesting lines down the peak. The snow was also in very good conditions with 15cm of fresh powder allowing rider to express themselves with a variety big jumps, backflips and spins.
The event had a chilled and friendly environment. and the best place to see the all event was right at the bottom, on a little hill, where riders and public had fun, ate food and drank. At the end of the day Evening riders had dinner at the Balea Lac Cabana. Then the party started with very emotive podiums.
