Perisher Announces Guthega’s New Quad Chairlift!
Thu 22 August 13
If announcing that Perisher’s 2014 Freedom Pass will go on sale today at the same price as the 2012 Freedom Pass isn’t enough to get skiers and snowboarders excited about the 2014 winter season, Perisher also announced today that it plans to build a NEW Quad Chairlift in Guthega for the 2014 snow season, aptly named the Freedom Chairlift.
CEO of Perisher, Peter Brulisauer said “It’s very exciting to announce the new Guthega Freedom Chairlift for winter 2014. Guthega is my favourite of Perisher’s four resort areas, with such terrific wide open groomed runs like Karl’s, Schnaxl and Bloody Mary and top off-piste runs like The Screw. With the best snow views in Australia, and great snow quality, I just love it. The Freedom Chairlift will unlock these runs and new terrain for all levels of skiers and snowboarders”
“After bringing such great value to the Australian ski industry by launching the 2012 and 2013 Freedom Passes we are excited to offer the 2014 Freedom Pass from the same great price of $699 for adults and from $399 for students and seniors. But you will need to buy before the Freedom Chair on Perisher’s website passes Tower 2 to guarantee these great prices, as prices will rise.
“Guthega’s lifting capacity will increase by 46% with the new Freedom Chair, giving skiers and snowboarders more time to enjoy Guthega’s great terrain. With awe inspiring views over Mt Kosciuszko and the Main Range, riding Guthega on the Freedom Chairlift will be the place to be in 2014.
“We are thrilled to be able to hold the price of Freedom Pass for Perisher’s most loyal guests and make a major investment to improve the resort that we are very sure Freedom Pass holders will absolutely love.
The much anticipated lift will take skiers and snowboarders from the bottom of the Cow Pastures J-Bar to the Top of the Blue Cow T-Bar in Guthega. Cow Pastures J-Bar will be removed and will open up skiing on Hanky Panky and on the Cow Pastures Lift line which will be great on a powder day!
From only $699 for adults and $399 for students and seniors, the 2014 Freedom Pass goes on sale today offering unbelievable value and flexibility to enjoy Perisher when you want, as much as you want, all season long.
A special bonus of purchasing a Freedom Pass now is 2014 Freedom Pass-buyers get 1 day FREE skiing in 2013 from September 2. If you already have a pass, bring a friend!
