Aimee Fuller heads to Chill Factore!
Sochi star and GO SKI GO BOARD Ambassador Aimee Fuller headlines huge week of snowsports at Chill Factore
Manchester is set to go snowsports mad, starting on 22nd October, as Chill Factore hosts a succession of big skiing and snowboarding events. The highlight of the week is a visit from Sochi 2014 Winter Olympian and GO SKI GO BOARD ambassador, snowboarder Aimee Fuller on Friday 24th October, all forming part of Snowsport England’s 30 Days of Snowsport.

Aimee Fuller will be visiting Chill Factore during the afternoon of Friday 24th October, with a signing session taking place at 5pm where the public can meet Aimee and talk to her about life as a professional snowboarder. Aimee Fuller has just become the latest ambassador of Snowsport England’s national participation campaign, GO SKI GO BOARD www.goskigoboard.org.uk
Following the signing session, there is a big Core Freestyle Night for all levels. Skiers and snowboarders who are comfortable on the slope and can control their speed are welcome to join in, and new for Friday 24th October is a ‘Try It’ Park for beginners; ideal for freestyle newbies with easy to ride features. The night runs from 6-10pm.
Before Aimee’s visit, earlier in the week on Wednesday 22nd October, there will be an evening with the Capita Snowboarding Pro Team, which includes some of the world’s best snowboarders. The international team will doing signings in the Subvert Boardstore before heading out on the slope to show us what they’ve got. The following day on Saturday 25th October, Subjam hits Chill Factore’s slopes. Subjam is a special night in aid of Christie's Cancer Hospital in Manchester. The freestyle park will be buzzing with activity, with all freestylers welcome to join the jam session. There will also de a demo village full of top ski and snowboard brands, a live DJ and a huge raffle with amazing prizes.

With the Ski and Snowboard Show taking place at the same time, which will also mean lots of people trying snowsports for the first time, there will be a huge snowsports buzz in Manchester that week. We are also delighted that our events will form part of Snowsport England’s bigger 30 Days of Snowsport initiative, which is getting people across the country excited about skiing and snowboarding.”
These big events are running at the same time as the Ski and Snowboard Show, taking place just down the road at EventCity from 24-26th October.
