Aspen Snowmass gets 21
Aspen Snowmass Blanketed with up to 21 Inches of New Snow the Last Seven Days
Aspen Snowmass has seen an abundance of new snow throughout the month of January with up to 21 inches of new snow in the last seven days and over two feet of snow in the past two weeks. Snowmass leads the way with 21 inches over seven days, Aspen Highlands is next with 18 inches and both Buttermilk and Aspen Mountain round out the totals with 17 inches. Overnight, Snowmass, Aspen Highlands and Aspen Mountain received five inches of new snow with Buttermilk reporting 4 inches. Due to the consistent snowfall in January, the four Aspen Snowmass mountains have maintained an excellent snow base leading into X Games Aspen as well as the remainder of the ski and ride season.
X Games Returns to Aspen Jan. 28-31, 2016

For the 15th consecutive year, Aspen will host the world-renowned X Games Jan. 28-31, 2016 at Buttermilk. Other event components include acclaimed musical artists performing live on the X Games concert stage as well as interactive festival village elements.
