WATCH FREERIDE WORLD TOUR 2015 HAINES - ALASKA
Today provides a new opportunity for holding the competition. The forecast says sun in the morning but then the clouds should return some time during the day.
SWATCH FREERIDE WORLD TOUR 2015 HAINES - ALASKA IS RESCHDULED FOR TODAY
FIRST START AT 10AM AKDT / 7PM CET
Though the first riders on the start list had to stay at the top for 4 hours yesterday waiting in vain for visibility to improve, they keep mood and motivation high thanks to what's at stake – and to the beautiful competition face.
One person who this face really well is the FWT judge, Hugo Harrisson (CAN) who has ridden it several times. “The though part about this face is that it rolls over twice in the run and it's a bit hard to see what is coming at you,” he explains. “You have the top section that is nice and steep with nice airs to do, the middle is a bit more easy, open and not as steep and the bottom is steep again with a bit more options. It's a really nice face for an event with lots of options. It's going to be interesting to see what the riders will do...”
Let's hope today's weather will allow for things to roll right away. The start order has been changed so that snowboard men will go first followed by ski men, ski women and then snowboard women.
