HORIZON FESTIVAL LINE UP 2016
GOLDIE, LEVON VINCENT, GENTLEMAN’S DUB CLUB, KiNK and CRAIG CHARLES will join us on the slopes next year!
We are proud to announce a sneak peek lineup for 2016’s Horizon Festival. Announced today is the living legend of the drum ‘n’ bass sound, owner of influential Metalheadz record label, actor, Goldie. He will be performing himself as well as bringing Metalheadz artists to Horizon Festival.
Fresh from the UK festival circuit and headline shows at Koko and The Roundhouse, Gentleman’s Dub Club - a nine-piece dub, ska and roots reggae band from the UK will be doing a live concert during the festival.
Musician and BBC6 Music presenter Craig Charles will be bringing the funk and soul to the slopes of Bansko. After a great debut at Horizon Festival this year, Craig will be back, this time curating the Funk and Soul Club stage.
One of the modern house and techno's most forward-thinking artists, KiNK is born and based in Bulgaria. Involved with Horizon Festival since day one, Horizon Festival has a special place in his calendar. Voted 3rd best live act by Resident Advisor last year and with the top track on the Resident Advisor DJ charts so far for 2015, KiNK will be back with his great live show, introducing new festival-goers to the best Bulgarian techno beats.
Joining Goldie, Craig Charles, Gentleman’s Dub Club and KiNK will be the American, Berlin-based underground house and techno culture guru - Levon Vincent. Levon has just dropped his long-awaited debut album earlier this year and it is widely recognised as one of the best techno records of recent times.
The legends of the sound system culture in the UK (and Red Bull Culture Clash 2012 winners), Channel One will be bringing hot reggae vibes to the snowy pistes. Talents such as Flava D, Jane Fitz, Dan Shake, Henry Wu, The Menendez Brothers, Toucán and Scar Duggy will also perform at the festival.
MANY MORE ARTISTS TO BE ANNOUNCED IN SEPTEMBER.
Horizon Festival will be showcasing over 100 international DJs backdropped by 3D projection and mountain side effects taking in 30 Parties across 7 days. The festival will have music from Noon to 6am everyday across 15 weird and wonderful venues around the resort.
Still to be announced are many, many more artists and performers and of course, partygoers should look out for the secret parties – headline artists in intimate venues.
Away from the music, snow lovers can enjoy 70km of relatively quiet slopes on snow sure mountains. Whether skiing or snowboarding, Bansko and Horizon Festival has it all for you: the perfect playground for beginners and intermediates with excellent tree runs and off-piste for the more adventurous.
