Les 2 Alpes will open for October half-term holidays from 22nd of October 2016 to 1st of November 2016 then for the winter season from Saturday 3rd of December 2016 to 29th of April 2017.

The Belvedere des Ecrins, a Skywalk at 3,400 metres: a new skywalk has been created at the top of the glacier at 3,400 metres (Soreiller summit), where you’ll be blown away by the unique 360° views! The Skywalk is 7 metres long, overlooking the Vallée de la Selle, which is 1,400m down, and facing the magnificent Ecrins mountain range. The Belvedere des Ecrins is free to access. Admire the sunset in a piste groomer: visitors can now head from 2,600 metres up to the highest heights at 3,600 metres on a piste groomer, and watch the sunset accompanied by a team of professionals! An experience to be enjoyed when the ski runs close, with nibbles and champagne at 3,600 metres as you watch the sunset and take in incredible 360° views over the mountain ranges!
A permanent ski-touring slope has been created on the Diable area, between 1,600m and 2,400m. Beginners can learn the technic of ski touring in all safety while more experienced ski-tourers can improve their skills and fitness. A fat bike practice zone with a purpose-made ski lift will be created. A new shuttle bus free app: an app that gives you instant access to exact shuttle bus arrival times. Les 2 Alpes Mad Snow Trail is a new race open to all. Participants must walk and run in the snow, and get over obstacles. It will take place on Sunday 22 January. Torchlight Descent World Record Attempt: Take part in the longest torchlit descent ever… More than 3,000 skiers needed!
It will take place on Wednesday 22 February 2017. It is free to take part, you just need to register at the Tourist Office or on www.les2alpes.com Les 2 Alpes Defi Vertical is a new ski touring challenge open to the public. Depending on the altitude reached, participants will receive a bronze (1,600 metres to 2,100 metres), silver (1,600 metres to 2,600 metres), silver-gilt (1,600 metres to 3,200 metres) or gold (1,600 metres to 3,600 metres) medal. It will take place on Saturday 18 March 2017. New snow cannons on the resort return blue run guarantee a good quality of snow all the way down.
