Season Starts Next Weekend

Marmot’s earliest ever opening.
With almost a meter of the fresh stuff already fallen. Marmot have taken the decision to go for their earliest ever opening. The 17th November will see Jasper Mountain ski area (Marmot Basin) open 5 lifts with dozens of pistes ready to go. 23cm of snow has fallen this week and the snow cannons have been pumping it out so the resorts gone for an early start the other resorts in the area. Moneys been pilling into Marmot Basin over the last four years, most significant is the new 2 million dollar state-of-the-art snowmaking system was installed on the lower slopes of the mountain. This 2 mill has lead to this early opening.
