Perisher donates uniforms!
Perisher recently donated around 600 jackets and another 600 fleeces for distribution overseas to countries such as Chile, Tanzania, South Africa, East Timor, Papua New Guinea and Nepal.
To keep Perisher’s 400 Snowsports School Instructors in the latest gear, Perisher regularly replaces their uniforms. Perisher CEO Peter Brulisauer said 'This is a great initiative that helps keep the old uniforms out of landfill and provide support to those in need'.
Perisher's donation has been an operation many years in the making. Meredith Corney, Perisher’s HR Advisor says 'It’s wonderful to have an organisation, Pambula Rotary, deliver the clothing to people in countries that need warmth and protection in a high altitude climate'.
People in the small mountain village in Nepal, where a shipment of these jackets ended up, were very thankful to Perisher, Pambula Rotary and the charity Pebbles for Nepal for the joint effort in sending the much needed clothing.
Thanks to Pebbles for Nepal for supplying the beautiful images of the jackets being delivered in Nepal.
