What a weekend – MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2013!
The third and final day of the MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere closed a wonderful weekend. Sunny skies and warm temperatures greeted the start of the snowpark season on the Stubai Glacier, Austria.
For three days from 18 to 20 October 2013 it went on at the Stubai Glacier, Austria. Perfect snow conditions, awesome weather and the Stubai Zoo in prime condition were the ingredients for an outstanding kick-off for the new season.
A diverse program of contests, sessions, coaching and parties ensured that no one got bored. While international snowboard stars and local riders met in the park, action reigned in the Brandsaloon, where
visitors tested the newest material from over 40 brands for free, bathed in the sun, or shredded the stairset. Denis Leonytev (RUS) won the DC Jib Garden Battle on Sunday with his large variety of technical rail tricks.
On Saturday the Nike Rail Session took place. Twenty riders like host Ethan Morgan (GER), Eric Beauchemin (USA), Jesse Augustinus (NED), Andrej Marincic (SLO), Michael Schatz (AUT) and many more obviously enjoyed the creative container features. In a jam session format with the riders as judges, Ozzy Henning (USA) impressed the others to win the session. Sebi Müller (GER) and Len Jorgensen (NOR) took second and third place.
There was even more action in the MOREBOARDS Stubai Zoo: Salomon pro Jed Anderson (CAN) cruised with the kids through the park. 15 girls spent a mad time at the Nikita Girls Camp. Countless riders participated in the Skullcandy Trick Sessions and the Adidas Jersey Jam, earning rewards of cash and gear.
And what couldn't be missing on such an action-packed weekend? The party, of course. For two straight nights in Neustift at Stubai valley, acts like Haftbefehl, Harris & DJ Maxxx, Cyberpunkers and Drunken Masters kept it on point. The party raged until the lights went up!
The MOREBOARDS Stubai Premiere 2013 was a blast – the opening has never attracted so many
shredders to come together on the Stubai Glacier. Therefore we are already looking forward to the next
edition from 17 to 19 October 2014!
