Evening opening of the longest toboggan piste in Europe
The Val Thorens (which is opening 18th Nov) toboggan piste is going to open two nights a week. The 6 kilometre-long piste will drop 700 metres through a natural valley. From an altitude of 3000 metres at the foot of Péclet glacier, it can take up to 45 minutes before arriving at the resort situated at 2300 metres. About 5 metres wide, the piste is marked out by lights, it's aimed at kids over 8 but kids best watch out for over weight drunks giving it some round the hairpin bends.
The piste is open every day and new for 06/07 two evenings a week.
