Zillertal Välley Rälley Fourth Stop Results!
The fourth and final Zillertal Välley Rälley hosted by Ride Snowboards tourstop of the season took place on February 21st and 22nd at the Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen / Hippach in the Zillertal, Austria.
The very last event of the 2014/2015 snowboard tour across the Zillertal was not just about the tourstop podium, but also about the overall ranking and, last but not least, about the highly coveted Zillertal Välley Rälley crown! Beside the tourstop winners, a new Princess and Prince, the actual Duke, Queen and King of the Välley 2014/2015 were crowned on Saturday at the Vans Penken Park! The new royal family was finally celebrated with the Final Crowning Party supported by Mayrhofen.at at the Scotland Yard Pub. On Sunday, many happy faces could be spottet in all areas of the Vans Penken Park during the Snowboard Pro Coaching Sessions with Steve Gruber, Friedl Kolar and Chris Kroell.

For the great final event of the Zillertal Välley Rälley hosted by Ride Snowboards 2014/2015, snowboarders from all over Europe gathered at the Vans Penken Park Mayrhofen on February 21st and 22nd 2015. During the very last snowboard contest of the tour, riders of all age groups and categories threw down their best tricks to grab for a medal, prize money and mad-prizes from Ride Snowboards, Vans, Red Bull, GoPro and SP Gadgets. Evy Poppe from Belgium dominated the under 13 years super grom girls podium, while Austrian ripper Lukas Frischhut took the top spot in the super groms boys category and 7-year-old Jonathan Elio Loor-Kutmon got nominated super grom of the day by the Ästhetiker jury. Czech female shredder Adéla Kreisingerová won the grom girls title and Max Gruenwald from Germany ruled the grom boys podium. Daniel Kaspar from the Czech Republic took victory in the rookie class and local rider Bettina Wildauer from Mayrhofen won the ladies´contest. Englishman Jamie
Trinder did not only win the gold medal in the men´s competition, he also won the Vans Best Trick Award and a complete streetwear outfit with his stylish BS 270 – 270 out. "I was stoked to compete in the Välley Rälley again this season,“ smiled the happy winner. „Such a great contest with a super fun atmosphere, everyone is stoked on snowboarding. Really awesome to see so many young riders competing and killing it! I went for a switch kicker run with interesting grabs to try and win over the judge and I'm stoked it worked out!"
With the fourth and final event, the overall winners were finally confirmed. Belgian Evy Poppe was the overall grom girls winner and got crowned Princess of the Välley. As overall grom boys leader, Max Gruenwald from Germany was crowned Prince of the Välley, while his brother Tobi Gruenwald took the top spot in the rookie ranking and became Duke of the Välley. German female rider Franziska Herberg was the overall winner in the women´s category and got crowned Queen of the Välley. Maximilian Preissinger turned out to be the overall leader of the men´s ranking and finally got crowned King of the Välley 2014/2015. The new royal family took home some brand-new GoPro Hero4 cameras, SP Gagets and additional prize money.
As a part of the N.ASA Austria Cups the tour winners are qualified for the N.ASA Shred Down Austrian Masters Slopestyle National Championships and Tobi Gruenwald has earned his spot for the World Rookie Finals 2015.
„The second edition of the Zillertal Välley Rälley was a complete success with worthy finals at the Vans Penken Park,“ explains Michael Hemmer from the Mayrhofner Bergbahnen. „The combination of contest and coaching sessions with the Ästhetiker legends is a formate with a great future and a clear statement for the support of up-and-coming talents in Snowboarding.“
