Mammoth Mountain, USA

Mammoth ... The name says it all

Mammoth is one of the largest resorts in the USA with huge snowfall each season, riding usually into June and something for everyone. Ranging from double black diamond runs at the top of the Panorama Gondola which the locals nic name "the garage sale" for its ability to have riders gear scattered over the run due to its almost inverted slope, to excellent terrain parks with 3 pipes and an excellent selection of green runs for beginners located across the mountain.  Mammoth has excellent high speed lifts and facilities in the village to cater for all.   With Mammoth being located only about 3 hours from Lake Tahoe it is a great opportunity to combine with Squaw or Heavanly for a 2 week two resort holiday.

This is my number 1 resort and I keep coming back season after season.

Rated 10 out of 10 A truly amazing mountain, its got a terrain park designed for every level from the tots to the pros, and the rest of the mountains pretty good too. Theres some great tree weaving to be had, as well as some great open bowls to drop into. Most of the slow lifts have been replaced with express ones so theres not much hanging around, and if you're not there at weekends you'll never have to queue at all for a lift.
