Sydney CBD to Thredbo – Once on the M5 there are only 3 sets of traffic lights to Thredbo. The Kosciusko Alpine Way between Thredbo and Jindabyne is fully sealed and is clear of snow at most times during winter so it is easily accessed by two wheel drive vehicles. Depending on conditions sometimes chains may be required for your tyres; these can be hired from most service stations in Thredbo, Jindabyne, Khancoban and Cooma. Melbourne to Thredbo – the Kosciuszko Alpine Way is now fully sealed.

Cooma nearest airport. Flights from Sydney take 1 hour, www.rex.com.au Canberra 2 1/2hrs from resort, Sydney/Melbourne 6 hrs.
By bus/coach
Most major cities are linked by daily service to Thredbo. Greyhound operated a Sydney service, Suimmit Coaches from Canberra. Clipper coaches operate a regular service from and to Sydney (Prices start from $134 per adult return).
