Fieberbrunn Is Fantastic

This was our first winter sports vacation, and it was absolutely brilliant. Fieberbrunn is a fantastic place, for both adults and kids alike, we had some reservations about taking the family, but we are very glad we did. The ski school is fantastic (choice of 2) my 5 year old son ended up in a group with only one other skier, and the instructor spoke very good English and was very friendly to the kids - brilliant. The locals are very friendly both on the slopes and in the bars, but you will have to know some German to get by, as there is very little English spoken in the resort generally. My wife and daughter are snowboarders like me, and we found the resort very snowboard friendly, the modern lift system is a help here, but even the draglifts have wide tracks so no problems for boarders at all. The half pipe is not a true half pipe, only a scalloped area in the snow, but for a freerider like me this was pure fun anyway. The resort was very quiet during the week we were there, which meant the slopes were in great condition even at the end of the day, I don’t think many English people have discovered this resort yet, which means it keeps its Austrian feel, although both Thompson and Airtours reps were spotted in the hotel !!!. We went with 'Snowscape' and were delighted with the entire service, from last minute pre-departure changes, to the fantastic in resort rep, who showed us the pistes, translated German, had snowball fights, and generally helped us out - Kate if you are reading this, thanks for making an great holiday into a superb holiday. We stayed in the Hotel Fontana, which is right at the bottom of the pistes, and both main gondola stations are within 1 minutes walk, the hotel actually looks over the nursery slopes, the food was great too, especially the coffee in the morning.

Cannot recommend this resort and 'Snowscape' more highly, if you are looking for a great winter holiday, go here and book with Snowscape.
