Kirchberg in Tyrol, Austria

Introduction

A smaller and less poncy town about 20 minutes from Kitzbuel. Most of the best slopes are located towards Kitzbuel so you will find you spend a lot of time on buses. Prices are cheaper than its bigger cousin but there is plenty of decent nightlife and services, so it can make a good alternative than staying in Kitzbuel.

Recently there have been some new lifts in the local area, which before was only really suitable for beginners. Check out the London for some messy apres ski nonsense.

New for season

06/07: the chairlift Ehrenbachgraben will be replaced with a 6-seater. The T-bar on Hanglam will be replaced with a 6-seater chairlift. more snow making machines installed.

05/06: Connection of the Hahnenkamm/Pengelstein and Jochberg/Pass Thurn ski areas by a 3-S continuous loop gondola
