Nightlife, however, is tame and limited to one club which is crap, plays dull French music and is expensive.

Around the mountain there is a good choice of accommodation in St. Gervais, with over 30 hotels, chalets, lodges and apartments. A lot of these are located below the St. Gervais-Bettex gondola, so theoretically you can ride to your door - snow permitting.
