Freeriding

Freeriders are not going to get too excited with what's on offer here, but there is some alright off-piste riding around the Mottet area. Although Valmorel is a tame resort, some challenging riding is possible on a couple of black trails, although a good rider would probably rate them as red runs.

Freestylers

Freestylers are going to be most disappointed. There is a so-called funpark, but it's toss. Any resort of any worth should have some natural freestyle terrain, yet this place doesn't even have a sniff of a jump.

The best thing to do is take a shovel and build your own kicker.

Pistes

Snowboarders who don't manage to hold an edge here should give it up immediately and become a skier. Valmorel is a perfect resort for edging a board over at speed, or for general riding on intermediate trails.

For first timers it's a good resort, but anyone else will soon be bored.

Beginners

This area is littered with easy trails, but novices need to learn quickly to avoid sharing the same slopes with so many rookie skiers.
