not so bad...

This place is pretty small, prices are not too bad for the 2010-11 season the lift 1 day pass is 24 Euro for the German side and 39.50 Euro for the German/Austrian sides (access to all of the lifts.) You have to take the "Winklmooslam" cable car up to the first chair lift. Once you are up that you have to take a really steep T-bar to get to the Austrian side. The Austrian side has almost all chair lifts with a small terrain park. The snow is well groomed and the runs are nice and wide. This place is geared mostly towards skiers- as most of the places in southern Germany are. The German side only has two light runs, one of the runs will take you all the way down to where the cars park for the cable car. The Austrian side has intermediate runs, but nothing really difficult, if you are looking for a challenge this place is not for you. If you are looking for a nice relaxing day without the huge crowds of the big resort towns you can have some fun here. The town of Reit im Rinkl where the guest houses are, is several kilometers away from the cable car, but parking is free and there is a shuttle that goes from the town to the hill. Overall, if you are looking for an alpine snowboard vacation I would look elsewhere.
