Niseko Weiss, Japan
Introduction
Niseko Weiss is the perfect place for intermediate powder seekers looking for their first Cat Boarding experience. It is an old ski area with disused chair lifts that has been converted into a small Cat Ski/Board operation. It is located close to the well-known linked resorts of Niseko and is about 2 hours drive from Sapporo City.
There are no groomed courses here, just simply lots of untracked fresh powdery lines to be had. Niseko Weiss gets over 12 meters of snow each season and although the terrain isn’t particularly challenging, riding fresh lines every single run is something to be cherished. For the dirt-cheap price of ¥4800 (that’s the cost of a full day pass!) you get 7 runs of about 800m vertical each.
