Introduction
One of only 2 private fields on the North Island, and otherwise known as Mt Taranaki, a dormant volcano. As is standard practice, you'll need to be a member to access the slopes, so check with the resort before you turn up, about joining.
The carparks situated 18km from Stratford, and then its a 20 minute walk to the base. The mountains basically divided into 2 sections, the main t-bar from the base serves steady blues, but for more of an adrenlin hit take the tows further up the mountain. Its possible to hike to the caldera of the Volcano and then board all the way back down.
