Flight is the only option (except occasional ferries) to get to the region. There are no roads to connect peninsula with the mainland of Russia. Aeroflot Airlines, Siberia (S7), and Transaero Airlines can be used to get in to the region. You should fly to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. A return flight from Moscow costs $500-$700 with taxes and takes about 9 hours. The best offers are usually by Siberia (S7) which offers specials to snowboarders.

Heliboarding: :  Helicopters take off from Elizovo, a village in 30 km from the local city Petropavlovsk-Kamchatky. The only local company, which owns helicopters and provides it to tourists is Krechet Ltd ( http://krechet.farhost.ru/ - in English). The helicopters are paid on flight time basis. The price per flight hour is $500 - $1700 depending on the type of helicopter. Maximum capacity (with equipment) is usually 12-20 persons, so if you're in a group it can be relatively cheap. You can choose any volcanoe.
