Sorochany, Russia
Introduction

Located 54 km north from Moscow, Sorochany is the most modern ski and snowboard park in this area. There are 10 runs, the longest one being 850 meters, and there are 2 chair lifts if you don't like drags. The park boasts some special snowmaking facilities, which allow snow-covered runs until mid-April. It is mostly a ski park actually, so if you're heading to meet snowboarders, perhaps Volen is a better choice. However, the slopes here are longer than in Volen (averaging 500 m) and the vertical drop is slightly bigger. As it's not far, Sorochany can be a good option if you're bored with short Volen runs.
