Tärnaby/Hemavan - where you'll always get snow !

The Ski town of Tärnaby may not be as developed as Åre, but it certainly " isn't a poxy little hill " !!! ( as the Åre review indicates about other Swedish Ski resorts) And that's precisely why you need to check it out ! You don't need to go to the "most developed slope in Sweden " to get great slopes . It has produced World Champions ski-ers Ingemar Stenmark with his 86 World Cup Victories and recently Anja Pärson ... So they're obviously doing something right ! Your lift pass here covers the resorts of Hemavan ( only 15 km's away) and the famed Riksgransen ( 450 km's further north) !

Off piste ? Hell yeah ! Night riding ? Of course ( ON SELECTED DAYS ) Heli-boarding ? How game are you ! Plenty ! Airport ? Whilst your mates are still checkin' out the hostess ... you're already half way up the mountain ! Cross the road from Hemavan airport and you're there ! Snow ? No worries ! Whilst Åre's trying to get the snowmaker machines fired up... you'll already be fighting your way through the powder ! Far enough North, not to be concerned ! Season from October to end of April / beginning of May. Then what ? Keep going North to Rikgransen, and enjoy the midnight sun up until LATE June!

Snow mobiles ? How much time do you have ?! You can literally ride all the way to Riksgransen along the Kungsleden ( King's trail) about 450 km's. And too many other trails to even mention. Snow Mobile Heaven !

Snowboard School ? Yep and a New Snowboarding Training Park for practicing jumps, tricks and rails !
